Follow the simple steps below to learn how to film with your computer and/or web browser's camera:
Navigate to your desired Cinebody project using your web or mobile browser by either typing in the assigned code or selecting the provided smartlink.
Once in the project, you'll see a description, the orientation you'll need to film in, and the shot list.
The Browser Camera
On the project page, navigate to the shot you want to record your clips to. From there, you'll see a camera icon directly to the right of it. Tap on this icon to open your phone or computer's camera. Please note the message that appears alerting you of the requested filming orientation.
Once you hit continue, rotate your device if necessary and start recording.
- Feel free to record one or multiple takes to a shot and return to the shot list by tapping the 'x' icon. Your clips will automatically upload to the project once you hit the record button to stop filming.
- To delete any clips, navigate to the grid view, select the three dots in the top right corner of your clip and hit "Delete Clip".
- Please keep in mind: During each filming session, the user should see on the clip grid page a green upload message indicating that their footage has been uploaded successfully.
Uploading Footage Through Your Camera Roll
To upload pre-recorded footage, select the middle icon next to your desired shot. Once the correct shot is highlighted, tap the "Click or Drag & Drop to Upload" option. This will allow you to access your phone's camera roll or computer's download folder. Select one or several clips to upload.
Shot Information
The third icon on the shot list provides further information about the shot including resolution, frames per second and a description. At the bottom, the user can either "Film To Shot" or "Upload Footage".
a. The "Film To Shot" option is simply another way to access your device's camera.
b. The "Upload Footage" option again takes you directly to your device's camera roll. If using your phone, you'll be given a list of actions. These actions allow you to film from your camera or access your phone's gallery.
***Please note: The browser camera feature is compatible with most browser types, however, we recommend using Google Chrome when filming.
And that's it! You've now successfully filmed and uploaded your clips via the browser camera.
