How To Use Cinebody's New Billing Portal

Cinebody has added a new self-serving billing portal to your account's settings. Here's what it can do and how to use it.

Previously, managing your account's subscription, storage, team count, and invoicing history often required communicating with a Cinebody representative directly. However, as of August, we've overhauled and updated the account settings page to allow account admins to easily and quickly do these things independently. Here's what's new:

Settings & Upgrades:

This section of your account's settings house 4 features allowing you maximum administrative control over your account, a couple of which are completely new:

+Add Storage:

By default, all Pro subscriptions include 100GB of storage. Once an account reaches this 100GB limit, and admin must either purchase more storage or delete footage to free up space.

The "+Add Storage" button now allows you to add storage on your own. Storage can be purchased in increments of 100GB for $600/year prorated during your current billing period and charged in full upon your next renewal date.

Beneath the 'Settings & Upgrades' section, is also a toggle that allows you to opt-in for automatic storage upgrades/charges once your account hits its storage limit. This option is toggled off by default.

WARNING: The storage limit has not been enforced in 2021 while we worked on updating the billing portal, meaning you could have surpassed your storage without being charged or halted from aggregating more clips. Now that the new billing/storage system has been implemented, accounts will have to operate within the parameters of their respective subscription. This may require deleting footage or upgrading accordingly.

Upgrade Your Account:

This button allows you to explore upgrade options depending on your current tier. For example, Cinebody Plus accounts will be prompted to upgrade their accounts to Cinebody Pro, and Cinebody Pro accounts will be prompted to book a time with the Cinebody sales team to explore Cinebody Enterprise options and features.

Downgrade Your Account:

Located in red at the very bottom of the account settings page, this button allows you to downgrade your Cinebody Pro account to the Plus tier, which is a more affordable plan that offers reduced storage and a maximum of 2 admin seats. If you have questions about how the downgrading process works, reach out to support@cinebody.com.

Storage & Stats:

This window provides you with insight into your account's overall usage. Here you can find:

  • Total minutes of footage
  • Total clip count
  • Total filmers across all teams and projects.

Previous Invoices:

Beneath the 'Billing Info' section of your account is where you can view and download any invoices or receipts reflecting any charges attached to your subscription including:

  • Team additions
  • Storage upgrades
  • Account upgrades
  • Account renewals
